The Bible with Commentary: Genesis 13

“So Abram went up from Egypt to the Negev, with his wife and everything he had, and Lot went with him. Abram had become very wealthy in livestock and in silver and gold. From the Negev he went from place to place until he came to Bethel, to the place between Bethel and Ai where his tent had been earlier and where he had first built an altar. There Abram called on the name of the Lord.” – Genesis 13: 1-4

Prostituting his wife Sarai to the Pharaoh turned out be a great money scheme for Abram.

One little hustle and he was able to leave Egypt with livestock, silver, gold and servants.

Enough to return back to his first altar where he could boast about his accomplishments in Egypt, as a prophet of the Lord.

Abram was a big time hustler, and as I said before, not an ordinary man but a very twisted individual.

Even though Jews, Christians and Muslims often consider their prophets as perfected beings, they’re barely examples to be followed in daily life…

If anything… the prophets of ancient Israel are more examples of what NOT TO DO in life.

“Now Lot, who was moving about with Abram, also had flocks and herds and tents. But the land could not support them while they stayed together, for their possessions were so great that they were not able to stay together. And quarreling arose between Abram’s herders and Lot’s. The Canaanites and Perizzites were also living in the land at that time. So Abram said to Lot, “Let’s not have any quarreling between you and me, or between your herders and mine, for we are close relatives. Is not the whole land before you? Let’s part company. If you go to the left, I’ll go to the right; if you go to the right, I’ll go to the left.” – Genesis 13: 5-9

Abram wasn’t even able to maintain close ties of kinship with his own nephew Lot.

Rather they quarreled over ill-gained possessions, even though the Lord was there to provide for them.

The more the story progresses, the more we realize that at the origins of Judaism, Christianity and Islam stands a very twisted man with malicious intentions and a personality of greed.

“Lot looked around and saw that the whole plain of the Jordan toward Zoar was well watered, like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt. So Lot chose for himself the whole plain of the Jordan and set out toward the east. The two men parted company: Abram lived in the land of Canaan, while Lot lived among the cities of the plain and pitched his tents near Sodom. Now the people of Sodom were wicked and were sinning greatly against the Lord.” – Genesis 13: 10-13

Sodomy stands for unnatural sexual behavior especially anal sex.

Basically the word comes from the people of Sodom and Gomorrah, who were homosexuals and degenerates.

They sinned greatly against the Lord because they partook in unnatural and despicable acts of sex.

Realize then that in 2020, the whole Western world has become Sodom and the Sodomites are a special protected class of people under the guise of 5 letters: “LBGTQ”

“The Lord said to Abram after Lot had parted from him, “Look around from where you are, to the north and south, to the east and west. All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring forever.” – Genesis 13: 14-15

The Lord knew exactly what it would take in order for Abram to lay claim to the land around him.

Sheer barbaric violence, savage brutality and endless warfare throughout the centuries.

Crusades, raids, conquests and rapes.

This is what the Lord promised Abram and his offspring forever, endless bloodshed and violent turmoil throughout Europe, America, Africa, Asia and especially the Middle East.

Wherever the descendants of Abram went; they enforced the shield of David, the Christian cross or the Islamic crescent.

“I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth, so that if anyone could count the dust, then your offspring could be counted. Go, walk through the length and breadth of the land, for I am giving it to you.” So Abram went to live near the great trees of Mamre at Hebron, where he pitched his tents. There he built an altar to the Lord.” – Genesis 13: 16-18

These words are more true now than at the time that they were written.

While at that time the entire world’s population probably did not contain more than a billion people, the offspring of Abram in 2020 is around 4 billion and counting…

For Yahweh saying that Abram’s offspring could be counted like the dust of the Earth, is no mere boastful statement, but it is a nugget of truth predicted by this being that the ancient Hebrews worshiped.

A prediction which we haven’t seen coming into full fruition yet, since Abram’s offspring is not going to stop growing any time soon.
