How to find true meaning in your life

How to find the meaning of life

Most things are merely meaningful just because our society tells us they are.

In reality it is all bullshit.

Whatever meaning you have adopted from society, 9 out of 10 it is something which will not benefit your journey throughout life at all.

Most people have no individual will and therefore their purpose in life is not manifested through their individuality but, through the whims and desires of society as a whole.

Their meaning in life is the meaning that society has given it.

They are stuck in the web of meaning.

That is why most people never really reach their own true potential and neither do they discover their true purpose in life.

They take on the burdens of society and turn that into their meaning.

But most burdens of society are meaningless.

They do not have inherent value but these burdens have been given meaning through story telling.

In the end most things society tells us to be true and factual, are in reality just plain lies and common ignorance.

They’re just stories and nothing more.

In the dark ages there was nothing more important for Christian knights and young noblemen to recapture the Holy Land of Jerusalem from the Saracens.

Everyone believed this in Christian Europe to be of the utmost importance.

When pope Urban II initiated the first crusade in late 1095, he promised salvation for all Christian men who took up arms against the Turks and Arabs.

“All who die by the way, whether by land or by sea, or in battle against the pagans, shall have immediate remission of sins. This I grant them through the power of God with which I am invested. O what a disgrace if such a despised and base race, which worships demons, should conquer a people which has the faith of omnipotent God and is made glorious with the name of Christ! With what reproaches will the Lord overwhelm us if you do not aid those who, with us, profess the Christian religion! Let those who have been accustomed unjustly to wage private warfare against the faithful now go against the infidels and end with victory this war which should have been begun long ago. Let those who for a long time, have been robbers, now become knights. Let those who have been fighting against their brothers and relatives now fight in a proper way against the barbarians. Let those who have been serving as mercenaries for small pay now obtain the eternal reward. Let those who have been wearing themselves out in both body and soul now work for a double honor. Behold! on this side will be the sorrowful and poor, on that, the rich; on this side, the enemies of the Lord, on that, his friends. Let those who go not put off the journey, but rent their lands and collect money for their expenses; and as soon as winter is over and spring comes, let them eagerly set out on the way with God as their guide.”

– Fulcher of Chartres’ account of Urban’s speech, Urban II: Speech at Council of Clermont, 1095

And everyone believed this at that time to be meaningful.

Everyone thought the crusade against the heretics, infidels and pagans was the highest and most meaningful thing to do in life.

From the priests, kings, noblemen and knights to the local blacksmith, merchant, butcher, farmer and even prostitute.

To spread the word of Christ even through the sword was the highest goal of man.

Nowadays we would find it quite appalling to hear religious leaders speak words of violence.

If Pope Francis would call for a crusade against the Israeli Jews and Palestinian Muslims occupying Jerusalem today, the entire world would launch a crusade against Pope Francis himself instead.

He would be dragged off his seat in the Vatican and be replaced within a matter of days.

In the 21st century the web of meaning has changed.

The Christian story has vanished from the center of the web.

God’s will is no longer in power but the will of man and his machines.

What seemed to be of utmost importance to people a thousand years ago, nowadays seems kind of silly to the common mind of the 21st century.

Things our grandparents considered to be very important even fifty years ago, we now consider to be of pure ignorance.

How does this happen?

Why do our ancestors hold firm to ideals which we consider to be of no value at all.

It is because we find things meaningful only because society finds them meaningful.

But we tend to forget that society is subject to constant change, now more than ever before.

Most people are scared to have their own opinions.

That is why we always look towards others for our own salvation.

We want the government to tell us what to do.

We want the doctors to cure us with their medicine.

We want Christ to die for our sins.

We want Muhammad to supplicate to Allah for our forgiveness.

We want Buddha to show us the way towards Nirvana and Odin to take us to Valhalla.

We want Lakshmi to give us wealth and Vishnu to come down and kill demons.

But we’re just too blind to reality.

We do not see the basic truth which is as follows:

We are the masters of our own destiny.

Every moment in the vastness of the space-time continuum is your own.

You are the master of each conscious moment in your life.

It does not matter what the United Nations finds meaningful.

It does not matter what your government finds meaningful.

It does not matter what your society finds meaningful.

The opinion of your teachers at school is meaningless.

Whatever your parents find meaningful might be destructive for you.

What is your meaning?

That is the only thing that is worth pondering and nothing else.

Why are you here and where do you want to go?

That is your meaning.

Each individual being has to find his or her meaning within themselves.

What do you want to do? What do you believe in?

Where will your path lead you?

These are the questions you must answer.

Everything else is rubbish.

Society tells you to believe in one thing now and within the span of a few years everything changes and you should believe in the exact opposite.

But remember this.

Whatever they tell us in the media is most of the times not based on facts but biased information.

Everyone who has the eyes to see and the ears to hear knows this by heart.

Every capable mind is able to understand that our news outlets tell lies.

Yet most people choose to ignore this innate feeling.

Many people ignore common sense and rather follow the false consensus of society.

If we look at history we can easily see that this has always been the case.

People do not like to stand alone.

They rather follow falsehood then be persecuted by their own people.

Take Nazi Germany for example.

Most Germans during Hitler’s reign were not Nazi by heart but they submitted to the terror of the Nazi regime.

They acted out one of the most horrifying genocides in human history.

But they were not devils nor pagans, they weren’t godless savages from the Eurasian steppes or extraterrestrial reptiles.

They were normal civilized people in an industrialized Western nation.

They drank beer and ate bratwurst.

They spent time with family during Christmas.

They cried and laughed.

Sneezed and coughed.

They were normal human beings.

What made them believe that they were a master race called Aryans and that they had the divine given right to save humanity by purging the Untermensch?

It was their society.

It was the Nazi state propaganda.

It was their Nazi leadership.

These agents of evil persuaded the entire German people into doing whatever they wanted them to do.

Is this not the case still today?

Do we not still choose to believe in all these lies the media offers us everyday? Is this really any different than Nazi state propaganda?

Keep listening to the news and see where society ends up again.

History repeats itself they say.

This is because humans keep turning the same old wheel instead of trying to manufacture a new wheel.

A new engine.

A new society.

A new way of thinking.

In this day and age, the power lies in the hands of each individual.

The global community enjoys more freedom than ever.

The internet connects us all and the collective mind of humanity is literally collected together within this global online library.

All knowledge is available.

We do not need the state anymore to tell us what to believe in.

The opinion of the daily television news and its poisonous newspaper cousin is no longer relevant.

A new age has arrived.

The age of Aquarius and the secret knowledge of the world is crawling to the surface.

This is the age of individual will.

In this age human consciousness will expand and mass awakening will happen.

We can already see the signs of this appearing all across the internet.

People are not dumb anymore and lies cannot just be told.

The media has been exposed for what it is and the power of mainstream news outlets is crumbling.

We don’t trust our governments anymore and this is a good development within society.

But in order to break free completely from the will of society, we have to find our own individual meaning within this new age.

The Web of Meaning is no longer relevant towards our individual lives and evolution.

If we keep looking towards society for our meaning and purpose in life then we will remain unfulfilled until the day we die.

Society does not know what is best for you.

Only you do.

Most people never realize this because they have been indoctrinated by society all their lives.

They have been told lies about God, the world, history, religion, politics, science, health, diet, education and money.

Basically all aspects of their lives consist of blatant lies.

And the rest of society only reinforces these lies because they have been lied to as well.

“People constantly reinforce each other’s beliefs in a self-perpetuating loop. Each round of mutual confirmation tightens the web of meaning further, until you have little choice to believe what everyone else believes.”

– Homo Deus: Chapter 3, Page 171

We often dismiss a lot of beliefs and habits people had in the past as superstitious or ignorant.

But despite our modern interconnected times most people are still believing in all the things society tells them.

We do not learn from the past at all, it seems as if we love being lied to by our governments, media outlets, health industry and school systems.

We hate thinking for ourselves and we hate independent research.

That is why we will keep making the same mistakes far into the future.

We hold fast to the Web of Meaning our society gives us.

But society can never give us our meaning, purpose or goal in life.

We ourselves have to be the masters of our destiny.

Only you know what you really want to do in life and nobody else.

Listen to yourself and ignore everyone else.

If somebody’s opinion conflicts with your own you should always follow your own, despite the so-called evidence provided by the other person.

Listen to your heart because that is where all true knowledge comes from.

As Christ said:

“The Kingdom of God is within you. “

Stop looking for it outside.
